A taste of haggis
While doing my weekly shopping at Tesco’s, I spotted this enticing tin on the shelves so I thought it was about time I tried Scotland’s national dish. I had eaten haggis many years ago but I had forgotten the taste so I felt it was time to try it again.

So this was my dinner. I know you’re supposed to have it with “tatties and neeps” (potatoes and turnips) but I had some mushy peas open so I decided to make it an English/Scottish combination. Haggis is an unusual taste but not unpleasant, with the oatmeal dominating the mince.
Still, I have half the tin left and some swede in the freezer so I may try the “proper” way next time.
