Bus (Pass) to Kilmarnock

Another chill but sunny day so I decided to try out my new Saltire bus pass and take a trip to Kilmarnock.

First I popped along to the local museum, the Dick Institute, which was okay but not particularly large. Then to Kay Park to have a look at the statue of Rabbie Burns. Then back to the town.

It’s a pleasant enough town although not as good as Irvine for shopping. Still, it got me on the buses, so welcome after the minimalist service of Hope Cove, and I will look for somewhere more interesting for the future.
