The sea, the sea!

Today as I was visiting Morrisons (the other direction from the normal Irvine shops), I decided to pop into the nearby town of Saltcoats to get a glimpse of the sea and hear the gulls again (after two weeks). I didn’t stay long as it was a day of heavy showers but it will be worth going back when the weather is more clement. As you can see from the photo, it was a bit rough.

Meanwhile, my home is coming together. Broadband is running; carpets are laid; and I have the bed and fridge installed. The air fryer and desk are arriving tomorrow so my “to buy” list is narrowing down.

I also bought a wee bag of porridge oats for my breakfast. Hopefully it will give me the Scottish ability to withstand the cold winter winds.

By the way, all the council car parks in North Ayrshire are free to use which, of course, makes you more likely to visit a place and spend money. Take note, Devon! I am loving Scotland more and more.
